Great therapist with wonderful resources!

James Agyei is a wonderful therapist and really helped me understand the driving motives and forces behind my OCD that were making it stick. It is always a lot of work but he showed me the resources to control it.

Super Knowledgeable and Understanding

Kim is amazing! I’ve dealt with various subtypes of OCD for most of my life and she helped me take the steps to get my life back and finish grad school. She motivated me to do ERP and confront some of my biggest triggers. My exposures that once terrified me now seem so silly. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and willing to work with you to get better!! I can live my life again!

I’m slowly getting the hang of everything. Is it easy? No. But today I learned that there is no such thing as a good thought or a bad thought. They are just thoughts! Thoughts don’t equal actions. I feel like I’m inching closer to freedom.

Outstanding and compassionate therapist

Anna is such an amazing therapist. She was able to help me recognize my OCD and begin to work through it. I learned how OCD was showing up in my day to day life and she pushed me to work through it. She not only helped me with my OCD, but rose above and beyond in advocating for me with my psychiatric providers. She was able to help me find more intensive care when I needed it and provide me with resources to educate myself on my various conditions. She is extremely knowledgeable about OCD and various mental disorders. I have worked through so many fears and challenges with her help. I highly recommend Anna and NOCD!

Poor experience

Therapist stated that her earbuds weren't working and proceeded to be silent for 10+ minutes. Incredibly unprofessional. This after spending 20 minutes asking me the exact same questions I was asked in session 1. Such a waste of time and money.

Therapist asked me a series of questions that she asked me last session, was late to join and proceeded to tell me her earbuds died followed by 15 minutes of silence before I left the session, this is not worth the money.

Thank you for asking about “my most recent session.” I get very frustrated with these questions. Specifically, you asked me, “ Hello, Please rate your session now by texting back 1-5, "5" being terrific and "1" being not so great.” I am very pleased with my therapist and gave a 5 for the question being asked…about this specific question which is about the session I just completed…nothing more. Then I get a response, “That's wonderful. We are so happy to hear that therapy is going well for you. Thank you for sharing where you're at, we appreciate it.” You did not ask me how therapy was going. You did not ask me to rate where I’m at. These are very different questions. They are complicated questions that require thoughtful processing and responses. While I think NOCD is now working better for me, mostly because of the therapist I’m now working with, I politely ask that you be more careful about the questions asked and your interpretation about what the responses may mean. I am very pleased with my therapist. The methods and strategies being explored are more appropriate and relevant for me. Where I’m at, is a work in progress that can’t be easily summed up by a number of stars or a thumbs up icon.

Amazing experience

Monica has quite literally been my saving grace through my OCD journey. Not only is she able to help me identify and manage my OCD symptoms, but her method of taking in everything going on in my life besides OCD makes the sessions so much more meaningful and helpful. Truly I feel listened to and cared for in a way most therapists struggle with.

Karla Charles is the absolute best!

I had transferred therapists since I wasn’t feeling it with my last one and transferring to Karla was the best decision I’ve ever made! She is so easy to talk to, nonjudgmental, and extremely understanding. She explains things in a way that is easy to understand and she digs deep to try and find the root cause of the intrusive thought/compulsion. I always look forward to my sessions with Karla. She has this energy about her that makes you feel comfortable and seen. I would 100% recommend her!
