My approach to treating OCD involves Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which guides you to confront your feared stimuli while eliminating the use of your safety behaviors/compulsions. By doing this, we aim to reduce your fear and anxiety and improve your self-efficacy and tolerance of distress. As a former aspiring stand up comedian, I've always relied heavily on humor, and I'm a big advocate of using humor in counseling. Beyond OCD, I've treated abuse, addictions, anxiety, depression, family conflict, personality disorders, PTSD, and relationship issues.

This was my second session and I learned so much! There are parts of my life I didn’t even realize OCD touched and just learning about how OCD works, the cycle, the treatment plan, etc. was super interesting and is already giving me hope that this could really work. Looking forward to (yet also terrified for🤣) my next few sessions digging into the exposures!
